Unhappiness

There are times when my clients come in during a big change, but the change has more to do with how life could be better. Unhappy and dissatisfied with their own status quo, nothing seems terribly wrong, but nothing is awesomely right either.

This same attitude may have kept them out of therapy because there is no specific issue or symptom they are addressing. They are managing well enough at home and at work, but some type of unhappiness, boredom or irritation has camped out in their thoughts.

For this type of client, one of two things usually occur. The plateau they feel is an entry into deeper more personal work, or mirrors a therapeutic coaching framework, where time with me is used for perspective and legacy building.
